Ambassador of Belarus met with the LAS Assistant Secretary General

On September 23, 2020 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the League of Arab States Mr. Sergei Terentiev met with the Assistant Secretary General for International Political Affairs of the League of Arab States Dr. Khaled Al-Habbas to discuss Belarus – LAS cooperation in political, economic, technical and humanitarian areas.
The parties welcomed the high level of mutual understanding and support in the international arena between Belarus and the Arab League member states.
Special attention was paid to the development of bilateral contacts between Belarus and LAS specialized organizations such as Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization, Arab Atomic Energy Organization and Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization.
The counterparts also considered Belarus – LAS high level events in the short and middle terms.
