On the meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt Mr. Sergei Terentiev with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt

On July 5, 2020, the Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt Mr. Sergei Terentiev met with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Khaled El-Anani.

In view of the first Belarusian Airlines Belavia charter flights that were performed on July 2 and 4, 2020, Mr. Khaled El-Anani expressed gratitude for the Belarusian side’s support for the decision to resume flights with the Egyptian resorts of Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada. The Minister noted that the Egyptian government, local authorities and business have taken all measures to ensure the safe rest of foreign tourists on the basis of new, extremely strict hygiene rules.

The parties agreed to further promote bilateral exchanges, including the establishment of a bilateral working group on tourism, the organization of a tourist press tour to Egypt of a group of Belarusian journalists, and the simplification of the procedure for Belarusian tourists to get Egyptian visas.
