Ambassador of Belarus Sergei Rachkov met with the Minister of State for Military Production of Egypt

On July 18, 2019 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Sergei Rachkov along with the Minister of State for Military Production of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Mohamed El Assar took part in a two-hour comprehensive meeting on the implementation of joint industrial projects following the visit of the President of Egypt to Belarus on June 17 – 19, 2019.

With the participation of the general directors of many Egyptian enterprises of the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production, the Sides productively discussed the state, prospects and problematic issues of joint manufacturing of «MAZ» vehicles, «Amkodor» loaders, «Bobruiskagromash» agricultural equipment, «MMZ» diesel engines, and components for Belarusian «MTZ» tractors for their further use during localization of production at the multipurpose tractor and harvester production line in Alexandria. The subject of organizing the production of granaries with the use of Belarusian technologies was also touched upon.

The Egyptian Side noted the high technological level of Belarusian products and its relevance in Egypt and the African continent.

The Sides exchanged proposals to improve marketing and production activities, pricing policies of Belarusian and Egyptian enterprises, which jointly produce Belarusian engineering and agricultural equipment in Egypt. Particular emphasis was placed on using the opportunities to export these products to African countries.

Agreements were reached on the completion of preparation of licensing agreements, organizing visits to Egypt of the general directors of Belarusian enterprises for the approval of joint plans to increase production in Egypt and its sales both in Egypt and in neighboring African countries.
