TO GET A VISA TO BELARUS THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THE CONSULAR SECTION OF THE EMBASSY:
A valid original passport (“Permit for Reentry” or “Refugee Travel Document” are also acceptable). A passport should have at least one blank visa page and should be valid for at least 90 days upon conclusion of your trip.
▪ For a transit visa:
A visa for the country you are traveling from/to through Belarus, as well as prepaid tickets for a trip. In case of traveling to countries with no entry visa requirements a copy of the ticket, itinerary from your travel agency or any other document confirming your trip to the appropriate country. Invitation is not required.
An ORIGINAL (not a copy) of a letter of invitation from an agency, company or organization in the Republic of Belarus, which is registered as a legal entity by the Belarusian authorities. A letter of invitation should be printed on the official letterhead with a registration number, date of issue, and should bear the signature of an official and a corporate seal. It should also indicate the expected duration of the applicant's stay in Belarus. An inviting party must provide written guarantees that an invitee will abide by the rules and regulations applied to foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus.
▪ For a touristic visa:
- An ORIGINAL (not a copy) of a letter of invitation from a belarusian travel agency. Hosting organization should be registered as a tourist company by the Belarusian authorities.
- A Hotel room reservation for the period of stay.
- Round-trip Airline ticket.
An ORIGINAL (not a copy) invitation. Your relatives or friends should obtain invitation (“zaprashenne”) for you at the local passport and visa office of the Ministry of Interior and send it to you. In case of emergency (unexpected illness, death of the relative, etc.) visas can be issued upon submitting a certified cable from a doctor or a clinic in Belarus.
A citizen of Belarus may write an application-invitation for a foreigner at the Embassy in presence of the Consul (the consular fee is 20 euro).
▪ For a student visa:
- An ORIGINAL (not a copy) of a letter of invitation from a belarusian university (college etc.), approved by the local passport and visa office of the Ministry of Interior.
- A Certificate of Education duly legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
- A Medical Certificate.

The formsmust be filled out completely. No blank spaces must be left. If a question does not apply, please type “N/A”. If the answer is none, write “NONE”. Incomplete forms will be returned to the applicants UNPROCESSED.
The forms should bear the original signature of applicant and must be well readable. Please, fill out in block letters.
To make service comfortable and quick, as well as to avoid forming queues (considering climate conditions in Egypt) we recommend to fill in application forms beforehand on our web-site (not at the Embassy) and to apply for a visa with prepared application forms.
Following up-dated documents proving foreigner’s ability to pay for his/her travel to Belarus and staying there must be presented to the Embassy:
- an original bank account paper, stamped and signed by a bank officer (not less than 1000 USA dol. for each month of staying, a bank paper should be issued not more than one month ago, Consul can require a bigger sum)
- an original paper from work, stamped and signed by the head of the orginazation (position held and salary should be mentioned, a paper should be issued not more than one month ago)
- prepaid there and back tickets with the exact dates of arrival to Belarus and departuring from Belarus (not to/from neighboring countries like Russia, Ukraine and so on). The prepayment or reservation should be confirmed by an air company's stamps and officers' signatures or receipt with stamps.
One passport size photo (35-45 mm, light background, face — 70-80% of the picture) of the applicant which should be stapled to the marked space at the upper right-hand corner of the application form. Do not staple the face.
The Embassy accepts in cash only EURO (without change).
Consular fees for visas to enter Belarus are based on the principle of reciprocity.
Personal interview with Consul is obligatory.

Visa processing starts only after all necessary documents are submitted.
Consul may refuse the issue of Belarusian visa, shorten number of entries and the period of its validation. In that case no explanations are supposed to be given, the consular fee received does not return.
PLEASE, NOTE THAT VISAS CANNOT BE CHANGED OR EXTENDED. If your travel plans changed after the visa issuance you have to reapply for a new one.
After arriving to Belarus please report in 3 business days the information about the address and duration of your stay to the local Passport and visa office of the Ministry of interior and get registration in Your passport. If staying in a hotel, this will be arranged by the hotel services (reception bureau).
● MEDICAL INSURANCE: Effective October 1, 2000 medical insurance is required for all foreign citizens traveling to the Republic of Belarus. The medical insurance contract can be concluded with a Belarusian or a foreign insurance company. The insurance certificate issued by a foreign insurance company should be valid on the territory of Belarus during the period of stay and should cover the insurance cases established by the Law of the Republic of Belarus. Medical insurance is not required for holders of Belarusian transit visas traveling to other countries via Belarus.
Non-compliance with foreigner obligatory insurance regulations could result in refusal to enter the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
● MIGRATION CARD: At the entrance to the territory of the Republic of Belarus a foreign citizen is to obtain a Migration Card, which should be filled in and submitted at the border crossing point of the Republic of Belarus. The migration card consists of two parts, part “A” is withdrawn at the border crossing point, and part “B” is to be kept by the foreign citizen for the whole period of stay in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, and must be handed over to an official of the border troops of the Republic of Belarus when leaving. The blank of the migration card can be acquired at the Embassy when receiving a visa.
● REGISTRATION: During 3 working days after arriving in Belarus a foreign citizen should report the information about the address and duration of his/her stay to the local police station so that a registration stamp be put in his/her passport. If staying in a hotel, this will be arranged by the hotel services (reception bureau).
