On the meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus E.Sobolevski with the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt M.F. Saleh

On April 26, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Evgueni Sobolevski met with the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt Mohamed Farid Saleh.

During the meeting, the current state of Belarusian-Egyptian relations was discussed, including the schedule of high-level visits to Belarus, as well as meetings of institutional bodies for bilateral cooperation.

In order to intensify Belarusian-Egyptian trade turnover, special attention was paid to the need to establish direct interbank cooperation, to intensify dialogue between business structures, and implement industrial cooperation projects in Egypt with the provision of possible assistance from the state.

Following the meeting, agreements were reached to hold interbank consultations, as well as to discuss these issues within the framework of the 8th meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission in Minsk on May 4–8, 2026.
