Belarus exports to Egypt tractors, trucks, road and construction equipment, forklifts, engines, tires, machinery, metal products, dry milk, pumps, X-ray equipment, chemical and woodworking products.
The main imports from Egypt are citrus fruits, other fresh, canned and frozen vegetables and fruits, medicines, plants used in perfumes and pharmaceuticals, outerwear, fabrics, wool.
Leading Belarusian exporters in Egypt are OJSC «Belarusian Steel Works», OJSC «Minsk Tractor Works» (MTZ), OJSC «Minsk Automobile Plant» (MAZ), OJSC «Belshina», OJSC «Amkodor», UE «Adani» and Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry «Belneftekhim».
Joint production line of MAZ trucks on the basis of «Helwan Machinery and Equipment» company of the Ministry of Military Production of Egypt as well as an assembly plant for MTZ tractors based on the MM Group company in Alexandria have been established.
Assembly lines of road-building machinery of OJSC «Amkodor» was opened in Egypt. Work is underway to create assembly lines of OJSC «Minsk Motor Plant» diesel engines, «SelenergoProm LLC» granaries.
A representative office of OJSC «MAZ» was opened in Egypt, and the MTZ Trade House are operating in Egypt.
Belarusian enterprises regularly take part in the international exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment «Sahara», the international food exhibition «Food Africa» in Cairo.
In September 2019 the sixth meeting of the Belarus-Egypt Joint Trade Commission took place in Cairo.
In February 2020, the first meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Business Council was held in Cairo.
The Belarusian-Egyptian Group for Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture was formed, the first meeting of the commission was held in July 2020 in the format of a video conference.
9 Egyptian enterprises with 100 percent Egyptian capital and 12 joint Belarusian-Egyptian companies are registered in Belarus. In the framework of interregional cooperation, twinning agreements were signed between Minsk and Cairo, the Minsk region and the South Sinai governorate.
Scientific cooperation is developing.
