On holding the meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission

In preparation for the high-level visit, the 8th meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission and the Belarusian-Egyptian Business Forum were held in Minsk on May 6-7, 2026, with the participation of Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt Evgueni Sobolevski.

Led by Artur Karpovich, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus, and Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt, during the meeting of the intergovernmental commission, the parties identified solutions to bottlenecks in trade and economic relations and ways to further enhance them.

The Belarusian-Egyptian Business Forum, organized under the auspices of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, made a significant contribution to expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The forum was attended by approximately 150 representatives of Belarusian and Egyptian business circles.

As a result of these events, the final protocol of the 8th meeting of the intergovernmental commission was signed, and commercial contracts worth $6.5 million were concluded. These included an agreement on the supply of fruit products to Belarus and the supply of tractors to Egypt.
