On participation in the first round of the Belt and Road Industrial and Commercial Conference
03.04.2017On April 1, 2017 the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Arab Republic of Egypt took part in the opening of the first round of the Belt and Road Industrial and Commercial Alliance (BRICA) conference. The event was organized in Cairo by the Egyptian Businessmen Association and China Federation of Industrial Economies under the patronage of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The conference was focused on activation of cooperation between businessmen of BRICA member states within «One Belt, One Road» initiative, creation of a conducive environment for joint investments, presentation of economic and investment potential of Egypt as a gateway to African markets.
The Embassy’s officer met with representatives of the delegations and businessmen of the participating countries as well as the Egyptian Businessmen Association and discussed possibilities of mutual cooperation.
Reference: BRICA was created in June 2016 with the aim of boosting multilateral economic cooperation within «One Belt, One Road» initiative. BRICA comprises business associations of more than twenty countries, including the Republic of Belarus.
