Ambassador of Belarus S.Terentiev met with the Chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality

On 8 February 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Sergei Terentiev met with the Chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality Khaled Soufi.

The parties reviewed the state of Belarusian-Egyptian cooperation in such areas as standardization and conformity assessment of product quality and safety. Steps were discussed to optimize the legal framework to eliminate technical barriers in mutual trade.

Subject agreements were reached to intensify interdepartmental cooperation on the basis of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in 2019 between the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus and the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality.
