Ambassador of Belarus S.Terentiev took part in the inauguration ceremony of the Belarusian-Algerian Parliamentary Friendship Group

On October 30, 2024, the inauguration ceremony of the Belarusian-Algerian Parliamentary Friendship Group was held in the National People's Assembly of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Parliament and the Minister of foreign affairs and national Community abroad, members of this group (10 deputies of the National People's Assembly).

The Ambassador of Belarus to Algeria concurrently Sergei Terentiev delivered a welcoming speech (in an online format), noting the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in further rapprochement between the peoples of the two countries.

The participants of the event emphasized the high level of cooperation and mutual understanding between Belarus and Algeria. Readiness for the earliest possible official visit to Belarus by the Chairman of the National People's Assembly of Algeria Ibrahim Boughali was confirmed, as well as support for the first meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Algerian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation scheduled for late November 2024 in Minsk.
