Ambassador of Belarus Sergei Rachkov meets with the President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt

On September 16, 2015 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Sergei Rachkov met with the President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt Prof. Mahmoud Sakr.

During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and development prospects of the Belarusian-Egyptian scientific and technology cooperation, including the expansion of cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt.

The Egyptian side expressed interest in implementation of joint research projects in biotechnology, agriculture and food, land reclamation, energy, industry, water resources management, IT-technology, engineering, space.

An agreement to hold a workshop between the representatives of the academies of sciences of Belarus and Egypt to exchange experiences in the field of advanced studies and to establish a Belarusian-Egyptian technology transfer center was reached.
