On the visit of the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to Egypt

From May 25 to 28, 2025, an official visit of the Belarusian parliamentary delegation headed by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko to Egypt took place on the invitation of the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hanafi al-Gebali.

Specialized negotiations were held between the Heads of the Chambers of Representatives of the two countries, during which a letter from the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was conveyed to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi outlining the main issues on the bilateral agenda.

A meeting was held between the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko and the Deputy Chairman of the Arab Parliament Tarek Nasir, an agreement on signing a bilateral document between the two structures was reached.

During the visit, the Head of the Belarusian delegation held meetings with the focus on the economic sphere with:
 — Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt Kamel al-Wazir,
 — Minister of Investment and International Trade of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hassan el-Khatib,
 — President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Ahmed el-Wakil.

Also, a visit was made to the company “International Company for Industries and Projects” — a service center for MAZ products in Egypt, where a number of commercial documents were signed for the supply of Belarusian equipment and other products to Egypt.
