Delegation of Belarusian scientists visited Cairo

On January 17-18, 2016 a delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus headed by the First Deputy Chairman Sergei Chizhik visited Cairo at the invitation of the President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt Mahmoud Sakr.

Belarusian and Egyptian scientists conducted a round table «New trends in Research and Innovation in Egypt and Belarus», whereby they shared experience in research of relevant for the two countries areas, including Microfiltration and Desalination for Water Treatment, Smart Fertilizer and Biosensors, Molecular Breeding in Animal and Plants, Agriculture Engineering, Earth Remote Sensing and Processing of Space Images.

The workshop resulted in signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt.

During the visit the delegation of Belarusian scientists visited the Central Metallurgical Research Institute and Zowail City for Science and Technology.
