On the meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus S. Terentyev with the Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt

On February 19, 2025 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Sergei Terentyev met with the Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, head of the Egyptian part of the Belarusian-Egyptian working group on cooperation in agriculture Saad Moussa.
The Ambassador conveyed gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic of Egypt and its leadership for their active assistance in May–June 2024 in completing the necessary procedures for registering Belarusian dairy companies in Egypt.
The prospects for creating a “feed hub” in Egypt with the participation of the Republic of Belarus were considered. The Egyptian side confirmed significant interest in working in this area and proposed to focus on fish feed at the initial stage (the market volume of this product is more than half of the entire feed market in Egypt).
An agreement was reached to hold a meeting between the Ambassador and a leading Egyptian producer – The National Company for Fisheries and Aquaculture to discuss practical areas of possible cooperation.
