On the event dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War

On May 6, 2026, the Embassy of Belarus, together with the Embassy of Russia in Egypt, as part of the celebration of the Anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, organized a memorial wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial cemetery in El Alamein (Egypt).

The El Alamein Memorial Cemetery is the burial place of military personnel from the Allied powers, including those from the USSR, who died during the military operations against German Nazism and Italian Fascism in North Africa.

The fraternal states of the post-Soviet space cherish the memory of those harsh years and the unity and courage of our ancestors.
