BELARUS HAS GREAT MEDICAL EXPERTISE, READY TO COOPERATE WITH EGYPT – AMBASSADOR

Belarusian Ambassador to Egypt Sergei Teterntiev said his country has great expertise in the medical domain and is ready to cooperate with Egypt in healthcare-related fields.

In exclusive statements to MENA Tuesday on the occasion of the 30th anniversary marking the establishment of diplomatic ties between Egypt and Belarus, the Belarusian diplomat said he was happy to visit the first Egyptian-Belarusian Hospital for Orthopedics and Traumatology in the 6th of October City.

A number of Egyptian doctors have received their medical training in Belarus in various specialties including heart, tumors and dentistry spheres, along with most up-to-date X-ray equipment techniques, Terentiev pointed out.

He highlighted his country's keenness on cooperating with Egypt in the medications and tropical medicine fields, referring to Belarus purchasing of large amounts of medicines from Egypt.

The Belarusian embassy in Cairo will organize a series of political, economic, tourism, sports and scientific activities as part of celebrations marking the establishment of bilateral relations, he added.

The activities will include a meeting of the Egyptian-Belarusian Trade Committee, a meeting of a joint industrial group and the Egyptian-Belarusian Businessmen Forum.
