Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt S.Terentiev met with the Ambassador of Sudan to Egypt and the Governor of the Gezira irrigation scheme

On August 11, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Sudan Sergei Terentiev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to the Arab Republic of Egypt Imad Eldin Mustafa Adawi and the Governor of the Sudanese Gezira irrigation scheme Ibrahim Mustafa Ali.

During the meeting the Interlocutors discussed promising areas for enhancing bilateral cooperation in economic, political and humanitarian fields.

The readiness of the two countries to intensify cooperation in the sphere of food security was emphasized. The Sides exchanged views on the possibilities of the Republic of Belarus' participation in the restoration of Sudan's agricultural complex, as well as the Gezira irrigation scheme.
