On the visit of the Ambassador of Belarus to Algeria

As part of preparations for the visit of a Belarusian delegation headed by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Belarus to Egypt and Algeria (non-resident) held meetings on September 15, 2026, with the leadership of key Algerian ministries: Kamel Rezig Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Farid Kourtel Minister of Industry, and Sid Ali Khaldi Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries. Executives from leading Belarusian enterprises, including MAZ, MTZ, Amkodor, Bellakt and others also participated in the meetings.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed specific issues regarding the technical implementation of planned joint projects in sectors such as agricultural and passenger machinery, dairy industry and others. Specific steps have been outlined for the continued work of Belarusian and Algerian partners on the implementation of the aforementioned projects.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining active momentum in the exchange of specialized delegations, participating in trade exhibitions, and holding regular events through established bilateral cooperation mechanisms.
