On the meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus E.Sobolevski with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt

On June 24, 2026 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Evgueni Sobolevski met with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt for European Affairs Wael Hamed.

The Egyptian side was informed of an attack on a civilian bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, that took place on June 17, 2026, in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

Plans for holding bilateral meetings in the near future were discussed in detail, including in the context of the implementation of agreements following the 8th meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission (May 2026, Minsk), and the organization of contacts within the framework of upcoming multilateral events.
