Obtaining education at the Belarusian State University of Pedagogy
Today BSPU is the leading pedagogical university of the Republic of Belarus.
BSPU sets itself the task of training the Belarusian intellectual elite and realises it through an optimal combination of educational process, research activities and industrial practice. BSPU has trained over 170 thousand teachers.
Among BSPU graduates there are more than 200 honoured teachers of Belarus, 7 heroes of the Soviet Union and Heroes of Socialist Labour, about 60 members of the Union of Writers, dozens of outstanding scientists and statesmen, more than 90 doctors of sciences and 1 thousand 500 candidates of sciences.
BSPU is a member of 10 international organisations, including the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities, the Union of Higher Education Institutions and the Community of Higher Education “One Belt — One Road”, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the European Association of Foreign Language Examination Boards, the Eurasian Association of Universities and others.
More than 180 international treaties and co-operation agreements have been concluded, ensuring effective mutually beneficial partnerships with leading educational and scientific institutions of the world. At present more than 1550 foreign students from 22 countries are studying at the University. 395 students are citizens of the People's Republic of China. Within the framework of the cooperation agreement with Luoyang Pedagogical University (PRC), a joint educational programme in the specialty “Musical Art, Rhythm and Choreography” is being implemented. A joint faculty “Innovative Pedagogy” has been established with the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University, where 145 students are studying in the specialities: “Logopaedics”, “Preschool education”, “Primary education” and “Practical psychology”. Together with Jizzak Pedagogical Institute, training in specialities “Logopaedics”, “Practical Psychology” is carried out.
The activity of BSPU has been noted at the state and international levels.
